The role
What you'll do
Support pastry production from preparation to finishing. You will learn and follow the team’s recipes and methods, keep your station orderly and help the pastry team deliver consistent products throughout service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with mixing, portioning, baking, decoration and packing as directed.
- Follow recipe weights, timing and presentation standards, asking when instructions are unclear.
- Clean tools and surfaces between tasks and store ingredients safely with clear labels.
What we're looking for
- Some pastry, baking or kitchen experience is helpful; a foundation course is also welcome.
- Careful, organised and willing to practise techniques until they are consistent.
- Able to follow food-safety instructions and work constructively in a busy kitchen.
